Testing Laboratory for Explosives and Blasting Accessories

The Testing Laboratory for Explosives and Blasting Accessories is part of the Testing Laboratory No. 1025 accredited by CIA (Czech Accreditation Institute).

ACTIVITIES

• tests of all igniter types
• tests of explosives, detonating cords and safety fuses
• tests of device for mechanized loading of explosives into bores
• tests of mixing and loading trucks for explosives manufacturing on-site
• tests of blasters, ohmmeters, insulation measurers
• tests of filling covers and aids for demolition work
• determination of explosive and physicochemical characteristics of explosives

The tests are performed in accordance with the Government Directive 358/2001 Coll., as amended by valid regulations, and the Directive of the Council 93/15/EEC according to harmonized European standards, CSN and internal working regulations of ATL.

OTHER ACTIVITIES

• advisory and expert work in the sphere of activity
• Grant Agency of Czech Republic and Czech Mining Authority grant solving
• participation in the commission of the Czech Register of Shipping and Industry for classification of dangerous goods of class 1 – explosives and substances with explosive and self-reactive features of classes 4.1 and 5.2 (according to IMDG, RID, ADR and IATA)
• participation in TNK-142 "Explosives and pyrotechnics"
