Testing Laboratory for Explosiveness of Flammable Dust, Gas and Liquid Vapour

The Testing Laboratory for explosiveness of flammable dust, gas and liquid vapour is part of the Testing Laboratory No. 1025 accredited by CIA (Czech Accreditation Institute).

ACTIVITIES

• determination of fire technical characteristics of solids, dusts, gases and vapours of combustible liquids according to the Regulation of the Ministry of the Interior No. 246/2001 Coll., by means of which some law provisions regarding the fire protection for the needs of environment determination, transport and risk assessment are performed
• determination of flash, ignition, and glow temperatures
• determination of lower explosibility limits
• determination of minimum ignition energies
• determination of explosion characteristics of industrial dusts, gases and combustible liquids vapours for calculation of equipment protection against explosion pressure effects 
• determination of limit oxygen number
• determination of combustion heat and heating power
• determination of self-ignition features of combustible materials
• determination of critical height of fuel dumps or other combustible mass substrates
• determination of dangerous features of chemical substances according to the Regulation 85/1999 Coll.
• classification of powder materials or wastes according to the level of dangerousness for the transport purposes (Rule for transport of dangerous substances by railway – RID, European agreement concerning the international carriage of dangerous goods by road – ADR)<
• assessment of dangerous features of wastes from the viewpoint of flammability, explosiveness, oxidative and pyrophoric features.
• complex combustible features (content of water, ash, volatile combustible matter, heating power, stubs, ash solubility, elementary analysis of H, C, N, S, component analysis of fuel and ash), milling tests, petrographic analysis, compression strength, wet screen analysis, abrasion resistance, briquetting tests
