(Detection and Identification of Explosive Precursors and Explosives)

Anotation:
 The project involves carrying out a research project within the implementation of the EU Action Plan on Enhancing the Security of Explosives.

The first part is aimed at explosives for civil uses, as defined in the Council Directive 93/15/EEC, and the possibility of the pre/after explosion detection. This part relates to the Commission Directive 2008/43/EC on the identification and traceability of explosives for civil uses.

The second part deals with chemical precursors of explosives that have been determined as the most critical ones in terms of their accessibility and potential use for the production of explosives.
Within the project laboratory experiments, practical tests and operating checks will be performed with the aim of gathering relative data, and, these will be used for possible legislative measures and technical solutions to increase the safety standards for explosives manipulation.
