Project "Development of further professional training in the area of industrial hazards"

From a grant scheme Development of capacities of further professional training within an operation programme of human resources development co-financed from the budget of the Czech Republic and of the European Social Fund represented by the Moravian-Silesian Regional Authority, the project Development of further professional training in the area of industrial hazards was started on 1st September 2006 and finished on 30th April 2008.

The aim of the project was development and first examination of a modular educational programme focused on the development of further professional training in the area of industrial safety aimed at elimination of explosion and fire generation in technological facilities. It dealt mainly with a support of education of employees in companies with the focus on deepening knowledge  and abilities in the given branches. A partial goal was to reach a higher level of safety in industrial plants, to lower the number of accidents, and health and life protection of personnel against the explosion and fire effects.

The whole project was divided in three modules - A, B, C.

Module A – „Explosive environments, prevention and protection against dust explosion“, basic definitions and methodology, took place in May - June 2007 and focused on general basic orientation in the problems of terminology and definitions in the area of fire and explosion prevention.

Module B – „Safety of machinery“, principles for risk assessment in an environment with fire and dust explosion danger took place in July - October 2007 and its aim was to acquire detailed information in the area of fire and explosion risk determination in industrial technologies.

Module C – „Ways of explosion protection in industrial plants“ took place in October and November 2007.

Module C specialized in offering orientation in determination of individual measure types for elimination of fire and explosion in industrial plants. The module was aimed for experts in the branch with verified knowledge and practical experience who deal with these questions on a professional level for a longer period of time.
